Steve Jobs is doing a lot of traveling in Europe during the month of September in an effort to iron out the closing agreements of marketing one its greatest profit-generating gadgets--the iPhone. His latest trips have been to Germany and France.
Apple's CEO closed a deal with Deutsche Telekom AG's T-Mobile division on Wednesday. Telekom will sell Apple's iPhone in Germany, where the eagerly awaited gadget will go on sale on November 9th, company officials confirmed.
The iPhone, the most highly anticipated gadget of the millennium, will be available starting Nov. 9 with a price of €399 ($561), Telekom's CEO Rene Obermann and Apple's Chief Executive Steve Jobs told reporters in Berlin.

The worst kept secret is that Apple will launch the iPhone on June 29th. Unless you have been living under a rock, you should know this date by heart. Where shall you go to purchase one of these eagerly-awaited darlings?
The combination cell phone, media player and wireless Web device will only be sold at stores owned by Apple Inc. and AT&T Inc., which has an exclusive deal to offer service for the device when it's launched June 29. The device goes on sale at 6 p.m. local time in each U.S. market.

According to a high ranking officer at AT&T Inc., the iPhone, Apple Inc.'s first mobile handset, is on schedule to hit the U.S. market at the end of June. AT&T's wireless unit has an exclusive U.S. deal to sell the highly anticipated new handset.
