This has been around for a while, but it’s interesting. The “rules” say the first and last letters should be correct, but that’s not necessarily so with three letter words. You can still read them OK too.

The Internet Explorer Team at Microsoft sent Mozilla a cake to mark the release of Mozilla Firefox 3. This isn’t the first cake Mozilla has received from Redmond. In 2006, the IE team sent another cake to congratulate Mozilla for the release of Firefox 2.

Many Photobucket users trying to access the site on Tuesday afternoon were sent to an incorrect page as a result of an error in the site’s DNS hosting services, according to an e-mail from the Photobucket support team.
Even as we speak, Photobucket images can’t be linked to user’s blogs—like in my case. For an unknown reason, the link seems to be broken. I tried to access Photobucket site, but it will take me to another site (www.atspace.com).
If you find that images are not rendering correctly on my posts, it not your browser’s fault. Something weird is happening at Photobucket.
As soon as the problem is fixed, I will let you know. Please be patient, technology is not always perfect.
Edit: On June 18th. at 06:55 p.m. (-5 GMT) Photobucket downloaded normally after being down for several hours. All my images are downloading correctly and the site can be accessed with no problems.

As the price for gasoline and light diesel reaches the milestone of $5.00 per gallon, Panama government studies the possibility of building a mass transportation system. Possibilities are: metro, subway, light train or mono rail. Several presidential pre-candidates are committing themselves to build such a project if they are elected on May 2nd. of next year.
Panama has an obsolete transportation system dating more than thirty years. A high percentage of its buses are old school buses purchased in the U.S. at bargain prices. These buses were designed to carry high school children and not full grown adults. You can see these buses actually fall apart as they make their way through the crowded streets of Panama City.

Up until late yesterday, I always thought the word “shit” was a bad word and should not be used in proper English. However, the truth of the matter is that it’s not really a bad word after all if you study its origins. The word is related to marine transportation of manure in the early days of shipping.
Certain types of manure used to be transported (as everything was back then) by ship. In dry form it doesn’t weigh very much. But once in contact with water (at sea), it not only became heavier, but the process of fermentation began producing a by-product known as methane gas.

It has always been a dream of modern man to build a machine with an intelligence similar to man himself. This intelligent machine is of course the computer equipped with artificial intelligence. It’s very common in Japan to associate modern living with robots interacting with human beings. As a matter of fact, robots are currently being develped to assist many humans as the population of Japan rapidly ages.
In the 1968 science fiction film “2001: A Space Odyssey”, director Stanley Kubrick shows a very intelligent supercomputer named Hal 9000 which interacts with scientists and astronauts on a voyage to Jupiter. This supercomputer is the pinnacle in artificial intelligence, with an error-free performance record. HAL 9000 is designed to communicate and interact like a human, and even mimics (or reproduces) human emotions; in fact the astronauts have learned to treat it like another crewman, addressing it as “Hal”.

After being in the dark for many years following the downfall of General Noriega’s regime, Panama has become a retiree’s dream. In 2001, International Living, the renowned magazine and recognized expert for promoting U.S. expatriate lifestyles, stated that Panama is the best place to live outside the United States. The American Association of Retired Peoples (AARP) Modern Maturity Magazine, has ranked Panama’s town of Boquete as fourth in its listing of the “Fifteen best cities in the world for U.S. retirees.”
Panama is an incredibly beautiful country. It has a diversity of flora and fauna that is found in no other place, due to the Isthmus position as the crossroads of North and South America. Potential residential opportunities range over city, mountain, beach and island communities so that a special place can be found to suit anyones taste. Once you decide where to settle, you have the security of knowing that, as a foreigner, you can own property easily and are granted exactly the same rights and protections as a Panamanian property owner.
