Yesterday I penned a post about the announcement of Google Spreadsheet and the possibility that Google could be building a substitute of Microsoft Office. Maybe I'm paranoid about the market dominance of Microsoft Office, and that's why I'm always on the look-out of viable alternatives out there. However, there are too many coincidences regarding Google's software that closely resembles an Office Suite.

Today I intentionally surfed Technorati to see what were the bloggers' reactions to Google's number crunchers. As expected, many were enamored with the product and others were adamantly opposed to it.

Finally Google Found The Missing Link

If you have been reading my posts, you are probably aware that I've been speculating that maybe Google was buying out companies in an effort to assemble an Internet-powered spreadsheet to kill Microsoft Office. The hypothesis is that if Google offers a top quality office productivity suite with all the bells and whistles for free, it will disrupt considerably Microsoft's cash flow.

One More Web-Based SpreadSheet

On March 17, I published an entry dubbed, In Search of a Web-Based Spreadsheet , in which I reviewed several on-line spreadsheets. A corporate executive in Hong Kong read it. Yesterday I received a message from David Lee, Chairman of Team And Concepts Limited , a.k.a. TnC., requesting that I take a look at their product EditGrid Spreadsheet . I accepted.

TnC is a company headquartered in Hong Kong specialized in offering solutions to professional event organizers. It offers a wide range of solutions to different kinds of event organizers, including universities, communities, public and commercial event organizers.

In Search of a Web-Based Spreadsheet

If you've been reading my recent posts, you already know that I've been speculating that maybe Google is buying out companies in an effort to assemble an Internet-powered spreadsheet to kill Microsoft Office. The hypothesis is that if Google offers a top quality office productivity suite with all the bells and whistles for free, it will disrupt considerably Microsoft's cash flow. So far we had found all the components that fit the characteristics to build a web-based productivity suite--except one. We were after an on-line spreadsheet and we found not one, but four. Let's take a look.
